Special Needs Program
We have enjoyed great success with many special circumstances including but not limited to autism, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injuries, Down Syndrome, cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, numerous sensory issues and ADHD. When possible we like to work the kids with special needs into our regular classes. When the child is going to need extra attention this is not possible and semi-private or private lessons are necessary.
We have found that if you are patient and let the child's capabilities guide you, even children with severe special needs can learn some swimming skills. Most special needs kids really take to the water. The weightlessness and the sensory input really stimulates them.
We are set up to work with Developmental Pathways. If you have a Resource Coordinator at Developmental Pathways ask them what they can do to help pay for swimming lessons.
If you're interested in seeing what we have for
your Special Needs child complete the Contact Form and send it to us. We'll check on times and get back to you. Be sure to include the child's name, age and special circumstance(s).
Send us your child's name, age, level, days/times that will work for you and the location you're interested in - we will check the schedule for what classes are available.
